Harold and the Purple Crayon

Here is another lesson idea from kinderart.com using the book Harold and the Purple Crayon.

The kids love using their imagination on this project.  They use basic precut shapes, put them together to make imaginary objects and use purple crayons to fill in the details.

The kids will also enjoy hearing you read the book to get their imaginations fired up.  (The school library has a few copies of this book, as well as the local library).

Example of finished project.
